Our passion for helping people with chronic diseases is deeply rooted in the experiences of Jonathan Rigby, Chief Executive Officer of Sernova and a patient with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Our intimate understanding of the challenges faced by Jonathan and others living with this disease fuels our commitment to our Cell Pouch™ bio-hybrid organ that enables patients to focus on the future, not their limitations.

Team meets technology

Central to our efforts is the development of our Cell Pouch™ implantable bio-hybrid organ. Leveraging this novel technology and the development of blood-derived induced pluripotent stem cells with our partner Evotec, we are working to reestablish inherent physiologic processes in patients with T1D and other chronic diseases. By doing so, we hope to restore the ability of patients to live life on their own terms.
